...there’s nothing better than seeing your children enjoying themselves. And oh well… eating an ice-cream at Clevers’ isn’t exactly considered to be punishment by most adults. Every year our children look forward to the first weekend in March when IJssalon Clevers wakes from its hibernation to prepare the most scrumptious ice-cream. Of course they sell the popular flavours such as strawberry, yoghurt, lemon and chocolate, but guests are also regularly treated to more exotic flavours such as asparagus or spiced biscuit ice-cream. By the way, don’t forget to try the orange flavour; it has been voted tastiest orange ice-cream in the Netherlands! Even if you’re not an ice-cream lover you’ll find it finger-licking good! Theo Clevers has been asked to join the select gathering of Master Ice-cream Makers (19 in total) for good reason, and he has won several prizes. Normally you’d happily make a detour for an ice-cream parlourwith this reputation, but if you’re staying in a Mookerplas or Molendal bungalow it’s conveniently within walking distance.
